Gillette is promoting its new on-demand, online-only service to purchase razor blades by partnering with the technology that brings Major League Baseball streaming into households.
The first 25,000 fans who sign up for a new Gillette On Demand subscription through the website offer will receive a free subscription to MLB.TV Premium, which enables fans to stream all out-of-market games live and on-demand across devices for the remainder of this season. The MLB.TV subscription includes the premium version of the At Bat App, which provides access to MLB.TV on mobile.
Gillette On Demand enables a re-order process for razors that is as simple as sending the one-word text message BLADES to trigger a shipment without dealing with customer service or entering shipment and payment information. This is the company’s first direct-to-consumer service.
